Effective immediately, Zara Medical is no longer accepting United Healthcare or Cigna.

This change is driven by the growing administrative burden on physician practices, including prior authorization delays, manual payer workflows and payment inefficiencies that take time away from patient care.

Our self-pay rate is $125 per visit, and we can provide a superbill for possible partial reimbursement through out-of-network benefits.

National physician and policy groups have documented that prior authorization and insurer administrative requirements delay care and add practice burden, while CAQH has reported high provider-side administrative costs and persistent inefficiencies in manual payment workflows. ACP · AMA · CAQH
